A few years ago, Lifestyle Performance Owner and Personal Trainer John Winters realized his 10-year battle with degenerative disc disease was going downhill. He attempted to demonstrate this exercise for a client and collapsed onto the bench instead.
The following year continued in a downward spiral as working for a corporate gym provided no recovery time for his body to repair itself. Things deteriorated and John could only be on the gym floor for 30 minutes before his leg would begin to give out.
The lockdown in 2020 gave John the opportunity to rest, have surgery and follow-up procedures to start his recovery but he was also questioning whether to stay in the fitness industry.
The encouragement from former clients and the support of family and friends inspired him to stay in the industry but on his own terms. Lifestyle Performance Training demonstrates that kind of encouragement and support for both our clients and internally.
